Introduction/Identity
The Youth and Family Research Program in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Pittsburgh is dedicated to understanding Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), alcohol and substance use, and related behavioral health topics.
CuedGoNoGo is a mobile version of the Cued Go No Go task (developed by Mark Fillmore, 2003), traditionally completed on a computer. This task was developed for use in research studies.
Data Collection Methods
Personal data will not be collected by this app. Data collected will include response time and accuracy and will use anonymous participant IDs. Data will be collected & briefly stored on the user’s device while they complete the task.
Purpose of Data Collection
We are collecting this data to measure inhibitory control as a part of ongoing research at the University of Pittsburgh.
Data Sharing and Third-Party Disclosure:
Data will not be shared with any partners, service providers, or advertisers. Since the data from this app is used for research, deidentified data may be shared with other researchers through a research registry such as the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism Database (NIAAADA) at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Deidentified study data means that it does not contain any personal information about you (such as name, address, birthdate and phone number) . User Rights and Choices
There are no in-app settings to opt out of data collection. If you do not want your data collected as part of research, you can choose not to use this app.
Data Security and Retention:
The data will be stored on the user’s device during their session. Upon completion of the task, they will click a button on the final page to send it to the data server. Once sent to the server, the data will be immediately removed from their device.
Data will be stored on an Amazon Web Server owned by NuRelm. Upon completion of the data collection period, data will be downloaded onto secure University of Pittsburgh Medical Center or University of Pittsburgh servers for analysis by the research team, Per University of Pittsburgh policy all research records must be maintained for at least 7 years following final reporting or publication of a project.
Policy Updates
We may occasionally make changes to our privacy policy as the app is adapted across research projects. If we make material changes to the way that we collect or store your data, we will notify you by email.
